Extremely NSFW trailer for Chinese zombie flick freaks us out

There's only one thing better than a good old-fashioned zombie virus hoedown ... a bloodier, scarier zombie virus hoedown in Taipei! Witness the fiendish slaughter of innocents in the trailer for Zombie 108, the latest horror movie from Asian director Joe Chien.

Looks like more than a few yen were lavished on the eerie production, and we love its slick, razored style, reminiscent of Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later and the foreboding chill of 30 Days of Night. Luscious scenes of gyrating babes in BDSM cages, chattering large-caliber weapons, a freaky octopus fetish and manual mandibular removal give this entry into the crowded zombiescape a certain crimson-glazed distinction.

But before diving into the trailer, here's a translated synopsis for the flick:

The nuclear disaster that Japan suffered accidentally alters the genes of the influenza virus. A group of young people get infected and haven't paid any attention to their illness, until a boy surprisingly bites a girl's throat in a drunken night out. Their friends start screaming at the gushing blood.

After a viral event, the government orders to quarantine the sick and evacuate all residents in the vicinity. But those drunk party people are not aware of this message. Meanwhile, the army and the police join hands to form a SWAT team to enter the quarantined zone. Those survivors suddenly become zombies to attack the living. In no time, the whole city is film with such huge bloodshed. People from all walks of life - including gangsters, policemen, SWAT teams and the civilians - are willing to work together to escape, but they have hidden schemes to compete with and they may even kill each other. The biggest test in doomsday is a human's mind.

Zombie 108 stars Hsiang Rong, Tai Bao and Yvonne Yao and is currently in post-production awaiting an official 2012 release date.

Can this come shambling and shuffling into theaters any sooner?

We'll keep a dangling, severed eyeball or two out for this one.

Ouch, my jaw still hurts. How about yours?
