The Doctor saves Hitler's life (oops!) in riveting Who trailer

Doctor Who fans who were in attendance at the Comic-Con panel Sunday got a first exciting look at the trailer showing what's coming up for the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his TARDIS companions in the second half of season six. And we're now bringing it to you. Hitler and all.

Let's start with a bit of good news before moving on to the trailer, shall we? Doctor Who is set to return on Aug. 27 on BBC America, so we can assume it'll also return on the same date on BBC One in the U.K. Only four (very painful) weeks to go.

Now, on to the trailer!

Cybermen! Weeping Angels! The return of Winston Churchill! The Silence! River Song (Alex Kingston) looking like eye-patch lady! We're thinking: What the heck is that about? And about the eye-patch thingy? Take a very close look at the trailer, because there's a lot going on there.

But the prize goes to the look on the Doctor's, Rory's (Arthur Darvill) and Amy's (Karen Gillan) stunned faces when a grateful Hitler says he thinks they just saved his life. Major oops.

Have a look.

So what do you think?
