Matt Smith wants as many Doctors as possible back for Who's 50th

Christopher Eccleston may have rejected the idea of returning to Doctor Who (and thought the feeling was mutual), but that's not getting in Matt Smith's way. As the 50th anniversary of Who approaches, Smith insists that he wants Eccleston back—along with nearly every other living Doctor.

In a recent interview, Smith admitted that, while it hadn't been officially talked about, he's game for an epic multi-Doctor crossover event that's bigger than ever before.

According to Smith, "I'd love for it to happen. How amazing would it be to see Tom Baker?! Can you imagine just seeing him back in the scarf, man? That would be amazing! So cool! And Paul McGann is a great actor, man, and a great Doctor. I say bring back Chris and Dave, too! How many Doctors can we get into one story?! Imagine if there were five or six of us in one ep and we could all just look at each other and judge each other."

We love the idea, but we're judging Smith a little right now, too. Where's the Sylvester McCoy love? Does he have no desire to put Colin Baker back in his coat-of-many-colors? On second thought, maybe that's not such a great idea after all.

Speaking of crossovers, Karen Gillan had quite the thought of her own. "I'd love to crossover Doctor Who with Star Trek: TNG! I was so excited to meet Brett Spiner!"

Brent Spiner on Doctor Who? Yes, please.
