David Tennant OWNS the spooky new Fright Night trailer

Felt deprived by the fact there wasn't enough David Tennant in the first Fright Night trailer? So did we—but we're finally getting to see a bit more of the former Doctor Who in this second new trailer—which he rocks bigtime.

First off: We knew there was more than meets the eye to that Criss-Angel-like Vegas act version of Peter Vincent.

It's really great to see David Tennant in action, and from what we've seen in this second trailer, we can pretty much assume that the former 10th Doctor may very well pull a scene-stealing act in director Craig Gillespie's film—which wouldn't surprise us in the least: Tennant's charisma here shines even brighter than the former Doctor's last regeneration sequence did (Doctor Who's "The End of Time: Part Two").

Plus, there's that whole "let's kill something" line, which reminded us of Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Spike. Priceless.

Which kinda makes the rumors we reported last week about Tennant becoming the main star of a possible sequel even more likely to be true. But we still have to wait and see how the movie performs at the box office before we get any kind of confirmation about any eventual sequel.

See for yourself, though, and let us know what you think.

Fright Night opens up in theatres Aug. 19, 2011.
