See Spider-Man's amazing web-swinging in action-packed set video

How cool is it to see everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man swing into action? Pretty cool, we say—and we've got a video to prove it.

There's an awesome new clip on YouTube that shows an Amazing Spider-Man stuntman swinging from cables underneath a bridge and over city traffic in the Big Apple itself, New York City, where filming is still underway.

Nothing really happens for the first half of the clip, as the stuntman's getting prepared for his leap of faith, but stick around for the rest as the stuntman then pulls a couple of pretty amazing moves to get himself propelled forward in good old Spider-Man swinging fashion.

Could this scene mean that the newest entry into the Spider-Man franchise will rely a bit less on CGI and more on real-life stunt action? Guess we'll have to wait a while longer before we know more about that, but what do you think?

Director Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans, will swing to theaters next year, on July 3, 2012.
