4-minute Grimm teaser trailer is actually a mini pilot episode

Trailers can be defined as "clips of footage from a movie or TV show meant to entice an audience into seeing it." This trailer for the upcoming NBC TV show Grimm, however, could very well be the definition of "too much information." It gives us the show's main plot point—and resolves it—in under four minutes.

Fortunately, it looks like a potentially entertaining, engaging show. Grimm is about a policeman who is also a Grimm, that is, he can see monsters hiding amongst us that no one else can. It seems that they can spot him, too.

Of course, we're predisposed to like it: Grimm is executive-produced and written by David Greenwalt, who produced, wrote and directed episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (he wrote "Angel" and "Faith, Hope & Trick") and Angel (he wrote "To Shanshu in L.A." and "There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb").

The good news about this all-too-revealing trailer? If you like it, you're pretty much guaranteed to like the episode.
