The Apes rise, ANGRILY, in new behind-the-scenes featurette

The first trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes was surprisingly light on both plot info and those dang-dirty apes that just keep taking over our planet. But, luckily, we get more of both in a new online featurette that gives further background on ape ringleader Caesar and how this version of the Planet of the Apes comes to be. (Judging from the featurette's concept art, a major part of the plan is holding the Golden Gate Bridge hostage with spears.)

While a lot of news sites keep referring to this movie a prequel, this featurette definitely proves that it's a reboot with a different continuity from any of the other Apes films. And, luckiest of all, it definitely isn't tied to the Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, which took place on a completely different planet. (Although it's easy to forget that, due its ridiculous "Ape Lincoln Memorial" ending.)
