Awesome fan-made retro opening credits for X-Men: First Class

Since X-Men: First Class is set during the swinging '60s, retro seems to be the order of the day. Yesterday, we shared some pics done up like vintage covers of magazines such as LIFE and Esquire, and today we ran across a fan-made opening credits sequence that would have looked at home in a '60s movie.

Fan Joe D, who created this clip, says:

"This sequence was designed to give a very brief primer on the time period, the setting, as well as show the relationships of the characters in this film, as they are very different from the previous movies and audiences shouldn't be confused as why Professor X and Magneto, enemies in the original trilogy, are the best of friend in this prequel."

Maybe that time-period primer is one reason this reminds us a bit of one of the best REAL credit sequences ever—the evocative opening to Watchmen.
