Don Cheadle reveals War Machine to get his own Iron Man spinoff

Marvel seems to be on a merry movie-development stampede: On the heels of the studio hiring a screenwriter to adapt Black Panther, Don Cheadle let it slip that a writer's currently at work at spinning off his own silver-plated hero.

MTV caught up with Cheadle at the Sundance Film Festival, where the actor let slip that there's much more in store for War Machine:

"They're developing [a War Machine film] now, they're working on that. ... I think they've hired a writer, so we'll see how it goes. It would be a lot of fun."

He also said that he doesn't expect War Machine to appear in The Avengers, calling James "Rhodey" Rhodes "kind of a lone wolf"--which makes tons of sense, given that the Avengers roster is already full-to-bursting and one hero in armor is probably enough.
