Rumor of the day: McG set to direct NBC's Wonder Woman TV pilot?

When it rains, it pours, and the Wonder Woman rumor mill is running full-time. Today comes word that McG may be directing the much-hyped David E. Kelley Wonder Woman TV pilot for NBC.

The news come from TV Line's Michael Ausiello, who claims that sources have confirmed to him that the Charlie's Angels director may be the favorite to help bring back the famous Amazon to our TV screens.

McG could be a shoo-in for Wonder Woman, since he seems to thrive in the female-power genre, having directed both Charlie's Angels movies and served as an executive producer on Nikita (the queen of kickass on TV at the moment) as well as Chuck (which incidentally features the OTHER queen of said ass-kickery—Sarah Walker). McG also directed the Chuck pilot back in 2007. His producing duties also extend to Human Target and Supernatural.

Things really seem to be moving quickly for Wonder Woman, even though it's only been four days since we told you about NBC's last-minute pickup of the TV project, and only yesterday we mentioned that actress Lake Bell was campaigning for the role.

But what do you think? Do you believe McG would be a perfect fit to direct the Wonder Woman TV pilot? If not, who would you rather have?
