Guess which likely Oscar winner wants to be a bad guy on Doctor Who?

When a potential Oscar winner says he'd love to have a part on Doctor Who or Torchwood, it grabs our attention. But when that actor claims he would go for a "bad guy" role, it makes us even MORE excited.

Colin Firth (who most of you know as the ultimate Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC miniseries Pride and Prejudice and from the Bridget Jones's Diary movies) apparently sent Twitter all aflutter this weekend when he revealed—in a Twitter interview—that he'd love to be in either Doctor Who or Torchwood—and moreso, that he'd love to be a villain!

"I'd never rule out a part in Doctor Who or Torchwood - especially Doctor Who," the actor wrote, adding, "I'd also love to play a villain like Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes."

Firth has a taste for "evil roles"—he played the villainous and dissolute Lord Wotton in 2009's horror film Dorian Gray.

"He was quite mean," Firth said of the character, "and I'm much nastier than people think."

What do you think? Would you love to see Colin Firth on either Doctor Who or Torchwood? And do you think he'd make a great villain?
