TV THIS WEEK: Chewbacca's back, Camelot goes Starz and more!

Though there's a couple of weeks to go while we're stuck in mostly rerun land, there's some bright spots on the schedule. Starz premieres Camelot, Ginn returns from the dead on Stargate Universe, and Chewbacca pays a visit to Star Wars: The Clone Wars for the show's two-part season finale.

Also this week, Sophia threatens evil things on The Event, Sally faces off against an exorcist on Syfy's Being Human, Josh and his team hunt a monster in Panama on Destination Truth, the TAPS team investigate Mackinac Island on Ghost Hunters, Sheldon uses his detective skills to find a hacker on The Big Bang Theory, ISIS goes into full lockdown on Archer, a slave trader kidnaps Arthur and Merlin on Merlin, and Mitchell's past is about to come back and bite him on BBC America's Being Human.

Here's what we have to look forward to this week on sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal and spy-fi TV, and on non-sci-fi shows with sci-fi elements.

Monday, March 28

The Event (NBC) 9 p.m. - "Face Off"

With the aliens surrounded, President Martinez is about to take them down until Sophia does something shocking which forces him to negotiate. Elsewhere, Sean and Vicky try to get to the bottom of the conspiracy.

Being Human (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Going Dutch"

Other Wednesday shows of interest:

On Syfy's Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files (10 p.m.), the investigators tackle sightings of strange lights in the sky in Texas and New York, and then in Florida they look into footage of a ghost on a balcony in "Thermal Theater Ghost/Fire in the Sky." And on SOAPnet's Being Erica (11 p.m.), time-traveling Erica gets a great job opportunity just as Dr. Tom sends her and Adam to a desert island in "The Tribe Has Spoken."

Thursday, March 31

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8 p.m. - "The Zarnecki Incursion"

Sheldon's online game account is hacked, which leads the gang to try to track the hacker down.

Here's a preview:

Archer (FX) 10 p.m. - "El Secuestro"

Pam gets snatched when kidnappers mistake her for Cheryl, and ISIS goes into lockdown.

Here's a promo:

Other Thursday shows of interest:

On CBS's The Mentalist (10 p.m.), Jane and the team look into a mysterious case involving a murdered man who believed he had been abducted by aliens, whose body is stolen from the coroner's van in "The Red Mile."

Friday, April 1

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon Network) 8 p.m. - "Padawan Lost" and "Wookie Hunt"

One-hour season finale! Chewbacca makes a guest appearance in this two-part season finale, which follows the action when Chewie is kidnapped by the raptor-esque Trandoshans, who are also killing off Jedi apprentices for blood sport. And one of those apprentices just happens to be Ahsoka Tano.

Here's a preview:

Merlin (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "The Coming of Arthur"

Part one of the two-part season finale! On a quest to get the Cup of Life, a magical goblet with the power of immortality, Arthur and Merlin are captured by a slave trader. And when the Cup ends up in the hands of Morgause, she creates an immortal army to take Camelot and bring down King Uther.

While there's only one new episode to go for the season, the good news for Merlin fans is that a fourth season is in the works.

Here's a preview and a sneak peek:

Camelot (Starz) 10 p.m. - "Pilot"

Two-hour series premiere! The Arthurian legend gets the Starz treatment, so expect a very adult version. The series opens with the sudden death of King Uther, which leaves Britain in chaos. After having dark visions of the future, the wizard Merlin champions the King's son, Arthur, to the throne. However, Arthur's evil half-sister, the sorceress Morgan, has other plans.

Color it ironic that Camelot goes up against Merlin on the same night, in the same timeslot. However, except for the names of the characters, it doesn't look like these shows have much in common.

Other Friday shows of interest:

On the Cartoon Network's Batman: The Brave and the Bold (6:30 p.m.), it's a special episode when the Scooby-Doo gang join Batman and Robin in a bizarre episode featuring Paul Reubens as Bat-Mite in "Bat-Mite Presents: Batman's Strangest Cases!" And on the channel there's new episodes of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (7:30 p.m.) and Generator Rex (8 p.m.).

Saturday, April 2

Being Human (BBC America) 9 p.m. - "Though the Heavens Fall"

The only bright spot for the weekend, there's just one more episode after this one in this short season. In the episode, pressure builds on Mitchell in all directions as he has to deal with a house full of werewolves with a full moon coming, and Detective Nancy Reid gets a break in her investigation of the Box Tunnel Massacre.
