TV THIS WEEK: Michael J. Fox screams, Casey dies on Chuck & more!

Michael J. Fox and the Back to the Future gang celebrate their 25th anniversary at the fifth annual Scream Awards, it's a killer Chuck, and Dean has vampire issues on Supernatural.

Beyond that, Thomas blackmails the president on The Event, Heroes' Masi Oka joins Hawaii Five-O, Stephanie gets closer to learning why the family has superpowers in No Ordinary Family, Chloe behaves strangely on Stargate Universe, Tamara challenges Zoe on Caprica, Amy wants Sheldon to meet her mother on The Big Bang Theory, Katherine puts Plan B into action on The Vampire Diaries, Josh goes after a Moroccan succubus on Destination Truth, Allison's hand has a mind of its own on Medium, Lois becomes a goddess on Smallville, the Sanctuary is breached with unusual results, and Jeri Ryan is haunted on Secrets in the Walls. Meanwhile, Fringe takes a hiatus until early November due to baseball.

Monday, Oct. 18

Chuck (NBC) 8 p.m. - "Chuck Versus the Couch Lock"

It's a Casey episode! The big spy has to deal with his past when his former team returns, while Chuck continues the search for his mom. Meanwhile, Morgan frets about telling Casey his secret. Talk about bad timing, Morgan! This week's guest stars are Eric Roberts, Joel David Moore, Dave Batista and Mekenna Melvin.

The Event (NBC) 9 p.m. - "Casualties of War"

Thomas demands that Sophia be released, a demand the president is forced to consider. Meanwhile, the CDC races to identify what biological agent is affecting the plane's passengers, and Collier narrows her search for Vicky and Carter.

Scare Tactics (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Killing Rosemary's Baby"

Pranks this week involve a demonic baby, a madman on a hidden-camera show and a missing girl who returns under strange circumstances.

Hawaii Five-O (CBS) 10 p.m. - "Nalowale"

Masi Oka alert! Yep, Heroes' Masi Oka pops up as coroner Max Bergman, who will no doubt help the Five-O team when a teenage girl, the daughter of the U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, is murdered and her sister is kidnapped. While Oka is listed as a guest star, he's billed in at least one more episode, and rumor has it that this might turn into a regular stint for the actor.

Tuesday, Oct. 19

No Ordinary Family (ABC) 8 p.m. - "No Ordinary Vigilante"

While patrolling for a mugger, Jim is mistaken for a violent vigilante. Meanwhile, J.J. goes out for the football team, Daphne figures out a way to use her telepathy to climb the social ladder at school, and Stephanie discovers what might be the cause of the family's special abilities. But when will Stephanie discover that her boss is one nasty piece of work?

Stargate Universe (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "Pathogen"

As if Chloe's speedy healing after being shot weren't enough of a clue (which is entirely different from everybody else's speedy healing after being shot), she begins behaving strangely. When her quarters are searched, Lt. Scott discovers a journal written in an alien language. Meanwhile, Eli gets news about his mother's medical condition.

Scream Awards (Spike) 9 p.m.

It's the fifth annual Scream Awards, which celebrates horror, sci-fi and fantasy entertainment. This year there's a Back to the Future 25th-anniversary reunion with the cast, and footage from Scream 4 and The Rite.

Caprica (Syfy) 10 p.m. - "Things We Lock Away"

Daniel gets his company back, but there's a surprise for him, and Clarice works to break Lacy. Meanwhile, Tamara battles Zoe in New Cap City.

The Cartoon Network premieres its live-action mystery series Tower Prep (8 p.m.), about a rebellious teenage boy who wakes up trapped in a mysterious prep school for students with special abilities. Then on the Animal Planet's Lost Tapes (10 p.m.), paranormal experts investigate missing hikers who may have resorted to cannibalism in "Wendigo: American Cannibal." And Discovery's Ghost Lab (10 p.m.) returns for a second season with the team on the hunt for Civil War ghosts in Gettysburg, Pa., in "Dead Will Rise Again."

Wednesday, Oct. 20

Undercovers (NBC) 8 p.m. - "Not Without My Daughter"

Steven and Samantha end up in North Korea to bring a defecting physicist to the U.S., but when the man won't leave without his daughter they end up on the hunt for her as well. Besides running into another pair of spies who are also after the girl, Samantha gets in hot water with Lizzy when she misses an important event.

Ghost Hunters (Syfy) 9 p.m. - "The Chopping Block"

The TAPS team heads to an Ohio warehouse to investigate reports of violent spirits who've been terrorizing the employees.

On the premiere of Disney XD's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes! (8:30 & 9 p.m.), it's a two-parter involving the escape of dangerous inmates from various prisons, which leads superheroes Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Ant-Man to join forces as the Avengers in an effort to stop the bad guys in "Breakout." Then, on Comedy Central's Ugly Americans (10:30 p.m.), Twayne has to deal with the consequences of bargaining for a politician's soul in "Sympathy for the Devil." And on the Science Channel's Sci Fi Science (10 p.m.), Dr. Kaku considers the possibility of creating an amy of superhuman cyborgs in "Cyborg Army."

Thursday, Oct. 21

The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8 p.m. - "The Desperation Emanation"

Amy asks Sheldon to meet her mother, which leads to issues as to whether or not he wants to see Amy any more. Meanwhile, Leonard considers the fact that everyone is in a relationship except him.

The Vampire Diaries (The CW) 8 p.m. - "Plan B"

Katherine and Mason? How long's that going to last? Katherine sets her sights on a new victim (shocker!), while Jeremy comes to Damon with important information. Meanwhile, Bonnie discovers a secret about Mason and goes to Stefan with it. Anybody else think that Bonnie and Mystic Falls would be better off if Bonnie did finally kill all the vamps?

Nikita (The CW) 9 p.m. - "Resistance"

After Allison gets a serious burn on her hand she discovers she needs a skin graft. However, her hand begins to have a mind of its own. Meanwhile, Bridgette becomes secretive when it comes to her role on the soccer squad.


Smallville (The CW) 8 p.m. - "Isis"

You just knew it had to happen. Just as Lois is about to tell Clark she knows his secret, an ancient artifact turns her into a goddess with superpowers of her own! Meanwhile, Cat discovers that Lois has powers and decides to prove that she is really the Blur.

While investigating the disappearance of some girls in a small town, Sam and Dean discover the town is overrun by vampires. But when Dean gets bitten by one, needing a good dentist won't be his only problem.

The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (Nickelodeon) 8 p.m.

In this television movie, when a teenage girl ends up with werewolf blood in her system, she begins to change into one. Victoria Justice stars.

Secrets in the Walls (LMN) 9 p.m.

Star Trek: Voyager's Jeri Ryan stars as a single mother who moves into what seems like the perfect home with her daughters. Unfortunately, her "perfect" home is haunted, and the ladies realize that in order to save their lives they'll have to discover the home's terrible secrets.

Masterpiece Mystery! (PBS) 9 p.m. - "Sherlock: A Study in Pink"

This clever reimagining of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes pictures him as a self-described "high-functioning sociopath" and Watson as an Afghanistan War veteran with issues in modern London. Benedict Cumberbatch (you've got to love anybody named Cumberbatch!) plays Sherlock to Martin Freeman's Watson. The first of three Sherlock movies involve suicides that baffle Detective Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves). Meanwhile, Watson meets a mysterious fellow who claims to be Sherlock's "arch-enemy."

On A&E's Paranormal State (9 & 9:30 p.m.), the team investigates a haunted jail in Charleston, S.C., in "Lockup" and a beauty salon in New Jersey in "Blood on the Tracks." And on the channel's Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal (10 p.m.), the teen psychics come together to help solve the case of a missing teen in Florida in "The Lost Girl." And on Animal Planet's The Haunted (10 p.m.), a family deals with scary spirits in "Killer From the Grave."

On National Geographic's Inside the Milky Way (9 p.m.), it's a look into our galaxy. Then the Bermuda Triangle is explored on TLC's Bermuda Triangle Exposed (8 p.m.) and Return to the Bermuda Triangle (9 p.m.). And on the TV Guide Network, it's Sexy Beasts: Vamps, Wolves and Mutants (8 p.m.), which is a countdown of Hollywood's sexiest mythical creatures. The special includes interviews with Robert Pattinson, Daniel Radcliffe and Anna Paquin.
