What True Blood's teaser poster tells us about season three

Apparently, True Blood will be going to the dogs—or at least the shapeshifters—when the series returns for its third season on HBO June 13.

A new teaser poster, which was released over at Hollywood Crush, shows what looks like a little girl and her dog taken back in 1962—though a closer look reveals that it's more a picture of a dog and its little girl, as the inscription reads "Me & little sister Sally."

The image supports what we've been led to believe about the coming season—that it will focus on shapeshifter Sam Merlotte (portrayed by Sam Trammell) as he investigates his murky family history. So that dog could be one of Sam's relatives—though it could also be a shape-shifting werewolf, one of the new supernatural species appearing on True Blood this season.

What do you think it all means?
