Clash of the Titans opened in first place at the Easter weekend box office, taking in an estimated $61.4 million domestically.
Last weekend's top movie, How to Train Your Dragon, dropped to third place with a healthy $29.2 million, raising its 10-day total to $92.3 million, the Associated Press reported.
Clash's total was boosted by its 3-D showings, which typically carried higher ticket prices. The 3-D theaters represented 28 percent of the number of screens showing the movie, but accounted for 52 percent of its domestic ticket haul.
Alice in Wonderland took fifth place, with $8.3 million for the weekend and a total so far of $309.8 million domestically and $722 million worldwide.
