AMAZING slo-mo, high-def look at the Apollo 11 launch

So NASA won't be heading to the moon again anytime soon. That doesn't make having gotten there in the first place any less awesome.

Check out this amazing footage from July 16, 1969, when Apollo 11 set off to bring the first humans to the moon. Since the camera was running at 500 frames per second, this 8-minute clip represents just 30 seconds of actual launch time, revealing the takeoff with a detail we've never seen before.

If nothing else, this makes us hungry to get that manned mission to Mars off the ground!
