Chuck star wants take the show on the road

NBC's Chuck returns Sunday with a big two-hour season-three premiere at 9 p.m., but star Zachary Levi has bigger plans than simply dominating your TV set.

"I have always kind of felt that this show would be amazing to take on the road," Levi said in an recent, exclusive telephone interview. "It'd be a difficult thing to juggle the budget, but with crews around the world and technology where it is, ... but to go and take a television show and travel with it and go to Rome and go to Paris. I mean, I know it's such a pipe dream, but how incredible would that be, to take all our characters and go shoot in all these places they go shoot movies in, but you're a television show?"

Levi then caught himself, realizing that maybe it's not impossible, given Chuck's popularity globally. The show airs in dozens of foreign countries, including Australia, France, India, Peru, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Venezuela.

"We have a really cool international fan following and could go and shoot near them, and let fans all over the world be able to come down by set," Levi said. "They'd be like, 'Holy crap, this is that show that I watch. How insane, it's in Manila!' I don't know. I think that would be insane. In a dream world, in a perfect world, that's what I'd love to see happen. We'd end the show with Chuck going international, and for real. Not just on the back lot, but for real."
