Get ready to Scream again—Wes Craven's back!

It's been 10 years since we last had a good Scream, and Wes Craven is here to change that. Dimension Films just gave the go-ahead to Scream 4, which will shoot this spring with a release date of April 12, 2011, Variety reported.

And not only will Craven direct, but he'll be bringing back the stars of the first three films in the franchise—Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette— though they'll be joined by fresher meat (that is, a group of younger actors).

The original Scream grossed more than $170 million worldwide in 1996; Scream 2 also took in more than $170 million in 1997 and Scream 3 topped $160 million when it was released in 2000.

Dimension Films chief Bob Weinstein said, "Scream has been such an integral part of Dimension's history, and I look forward to continuing the franchise."

What do you think? Can Craven and stars pull it off again?
