News briefs: Avatar, Sherlock win art awards; young Conan cast

Avatar and Sherlock Holmes were the feature winners at the Art Directors Guild's 14th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, where they topped the categories for fantasy and period film, along with The Hurt Locker, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Latino Review reports that 12-year-old actor Leo Howard (G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra) will play Young Conan in Lionsgate's upcoming Conan reboot, which will star Stargate Atlantis' Jason Momoa as the adult barbarian.

The Blu-ray and DVD of The Fourth Kind, includes never-before-seen "archival footage" of alien abductions, drops on March 16.

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment will release Blu-rays and DVS of films by legendary filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli on March 2, including Ponyo (Blu-ray and DVD), Castle in the Sky (Special Edition DVD), Kiki's Delivery Service (Special Edition DVD) and My Neighbor Totoro (Special Edition DVD).
