A glimpse of the Wachowskis' new futuristic war movie?

Here's something so weird and tantalizing we were scratching our heads: Pundit Arianna Huffington tweeted from what appeared to be some kind of film shoot for what she called a "futuristic movie on Iraq" being made by Matrix directors the Wachowski brothers in which she appears, aged 90 years from now, along with an image of Lana (nee Larry) Wachowski!! I guess we should make that Wachowski siblings from now on ...

It's weird for a number of reasons:

♦What futuristic war movie are the Wachowskis making? They were rumored to be making Cloud Atlas, based on David Mitchell's novel. Or is this some kind of makeup/hair test? Or is it something else?

♦It's rare to see a public image of Lana Wachowski, who was formerly called Larry and who was rumored to be undergoing a sex change, though those rumors were denied. Larry has called himself Lana for years now and is known to dress as a woman.

♦What the heck is Arianna Huffington doing in a movie? Though the Wachowskis have made sly use of real-life figures from academia and the arts before, such as philosopher Cornel West in both The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

Here are Huffington's tweets, from her ariannahuff Twitter account:

It's a wrap! With Andy and Lana Wachowski at the end of a great shoot
