Alan Moore, the comic-book writer responsible for Watchmen and V for Vendetta, has revealed that he'll be writing lyrics for the next opera from Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the duo behind the cartoon pop band Gorillaz, the BBC reported.
This wouldn't be the first time Moore has made the music scene. He started his comics career writing and drawing strips for rock magazines, performed in the bands the Sinister Ducks and Emperors of Ice Cream, and even recorded several tracks for a 45 rpm single tied in to his comic book The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier.
Moore also said the the pair had visited him in Northampton to discuss ideas. No further details of the project have been released, however.
