[Update: To no one's surprise, the MPAA today gave New Moon its official PG-13 rating.]
The Twilight sequel New Moon is already selling out at MovieTickets and Fandango, even though the movie doesn't open until Nov. 20, various sites report.
That's earlier than any other movie to date, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon has sold out 50 showtimes of nearly 22,000 offered on Fandango and 13 showtimes of 2,912 offered on MovieTickets. Most of the sold-out shows are midnight screenings.
Most movies don't go on sale until roughly a month and a half before they debut, but New Moon went on sale last month.
In other New Moon news, MTV.com reports that the track listing for the soundtrack will be announced on Friday.
Death Cab for Cutie already unveiled its song, "Meet Me on the Equinox," during Sunday's Video Music Awards.
Rumored tracks include those from Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Bon Iver and Band of Skulls, as well as the Killers and Grizzly Bear.
