Joe Morton has regrets on tonight's Warehouse 13

Joe Morton has regrets on Warehouse 13. Actually, let's be more specific. The Eureka star doesn't have regrets about Warehouse 13—rather he's guest-starring in an episode entitled "Regrets," which will premiere at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

"When they asked me, I knew it was a sister show to Eureka, and I was really curious about it, and I thought I'd give the script a gander," Morton said during an exclusive telephone interview on Aug. 27. "It was a nice character, and I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted to play him, and so it was an easy decision, a natural thing."

In the episode, Artie (Saul Rubinek) dispatches Peter (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly) to a prison in Florida that's been plagued by a rash of unexplained suicides, with prisoners experiencing hallucinations and behaving in a delusional manner before taking their own lives. Morton plays the Rev. John Hill, an inmate and prison spiritual leader who might be leading his followers down some very, very dark paths.

"Strange things are happening at the prison," Morton said. "People are dying, ghosts are appearing, all kinds of evil is going on, and it appears that I am the source of all of the evil."

Morton added, "I enjoy playing a villain when I get the opportunity, and what I decided to do was play him as someone who just seems to have a very dark philosophy of life. I think once an actor gets into twirling the mustache, you're kind of giving all of the goodies away. So I did not play evil, I just played it that his perception of the world was philosophically dark."
