Film School Rejects reports that James Cameron, David Fincher, Zack Snyder and Gore Verbinski are all on board to direct segments of a new Heavy Metal movie.
Quoting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, the site reported that Fincher and Cameron will also be co-executive producers on the film.
Mark Osborne and Jack Black from Tenacious D are going to do a comedy segment for the film, Eastman reportedly said. Three other directors have agreed but aren't signed yet, he added.
The movie is a reboot of the original 1981 Canadian animated film, from executive producer Leonard Mogel, who was also the publisher of Heavy Metal magazine, the adult fantasy publication.
The original film was an anthology of various science fiction and fantasy stories adapted from Heavy Metal magazine and original stories in the same spirit.
