News briefs: Ghostbusters III with Dushku?? Monsters on Nick??

Dan Aykroyd told the Los Angeles Times that a third Ghostbusters movie could begin shooting by this summer; that Sigourney Weaver is on board now, as are the original squad of Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson; and that the film could introduce a five-member "new generation" team with several female members, including possibly Alyssa Milano and Dollhouse's Eliza Dushku.

Nickelodeon has ordered a pilot from DreamWorks Animation for a series based on the firm's recent Monsters vs. Aliens movie, DWA CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter; he mentioned the pilot order at the 37th Annual J.P. Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom Conference in Boston.

The fifth and final season of Stargate Atlantis drops as a five-disc DVD collection June 30 from MGM Home Entertainment; the set includes all 20 episodes, as well as DVD-exclusive extended episodes "Vegas" and "Enemy at the Gate" and behind-the-scenes cast and crew interviews and audio commentaries.

Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) will voice the sultry alien Labella in Green Lantern: First Flight, the next DC Universe animated original PG-13 movie, coming to DVD on July 28.
