Transformers' Shia LaBeouf reveals extent of hand injury

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Shia LaBeouf revealed to EW.com that he doesn't expect his left hand, injured in an auto accident, to recover completely.

LaBeouf, who again plays Sam Witwicky in the upcoming sequel film, hurt his hand when his truck overturned in West Hollywood, Calif., last July. LaBeouf was not faulted in the accident. He said he expects to regain only about 80 percent of his hand's function.

"I've had screws and plates put in," LaBeouf told the site. "They put a screw in one of my knuckles. And they shaved a piece of bone off my hip and made a [bone for my] finger out of it."

LaBeouf added: "I'm on my third surgery. That's coming up in a week or two [from April 2]. My middle finger is still crooked as a f--king noodle, so they've got to straighten it out and put a screw in it. ... I imagine like two months and I'll be back on my feet."

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen opens June 24.
