Anton Yelchin shoots down Green Lantern rumors

In an interview at WonderCon in San Francisco on Saturday, Anton Yelchin denied that he's in talks to take on the role of Hal Jordan in a proposed Green Lantern movie and said he knew nothing about rumors that he was under consideration for the role. Last week, Latino Review reported that Yelchin is one of the actors being considered for the role, citing anonymous sources.

"I had no idea about that," Yelchin said while promoting his upcoming Terminator Salvation, in which he plays a young Kyle Reese.

His Terminator co-star, Bryce Dallas Howard, chimed in: "He was talking about that on the plane! He's like, where do these come from?"

"I have no clue," Yelchin added. "I have no idea. I think I'm probably too young. I mean, no one's approached me, no one's said anything to me. So I imagine I'm just too young. I mean, it's a great character, but I don't know anything about it. ... I haven't heard anything about it." Terminator Salvation opens May 21.
